Problem Adjusting Column Spacing from an Excel File in ReportMiner

I’m trying to a create a report model for a semi-formatted Excel file to bring the data into a structured format. I am finding that depending on the length of the columns in the source file, the report model doesn’t adjust to match the latest file column length. How do I get report model to know when one column stops and another column starts in the source file?

While using Excel files, you can increase the space between columns by using the ‘Edit Report Option’. See the screenshot below for reference.
